Letter from the Indigenous Coordinator for the Global Earth Repair Convergence, Ilarion Merculieff
Aang Waan (hello my other self),
I am the Indigenous coordinator for the upcoming Global Earth Repair Conference in May. I was born and raised on St. Paul Island in the middle of the Bering Sea. My traditional name is Kuuyux. I am a president of the Global Center for Indigenous Leadership and Lifeways, which is an organization I began about 15 years ago. It is focused on having spiritual Indigenous Elders and other Indigenous people share their wisdom on world platforms. The Wisdom Weavers of the World (www.wisdomweavers.world) is sponsored by GCILL and includes Indigenous spiritual Elders from around the world.
The Indigenous peoples who come together will meet each other, and they will have opportunities wisdom at this time when Mother Earth is now going through a great shift, affecting all people in life changing ways personally and collectively. Mother Earth is asking us to pay attention to her messages now. GERC will highlight Indigenous peoples at the conference. We plan to have an Indigenous caucus at the conference to draft up statements or resolutions to present to the plenary.
We encourage you to attend this important gathering in person. If you can’t attend in person, you can join via Zoom. The GERC is scheduled for May 7-11, in Port Townsend, Washington, USA. You can find out more by going to the Global Earth Repair Convergence website at GlobalEarthRepairConvergence.com.
Sincerely,
Ilarion (Larry) Merculieff
